24th State Level National Children’s Science Congress’ 2016

The 24th State Level National Children’s Science Congress’ 2016 was held on 29th October 2016, at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima under the theme, “Science, Technology & Innovation for Sustainable Development” with Dr. Michael Heneise, Editor-in-Chief, The South Asianist, University of Edinburgh, Scotland as the chief guest. The welcome address was pronounced by Honorary Director, Dr. Vizovol Mekro while the programme was chaired by the state coordinator NCSC, Shri Santu Thapa and vote of thanks was proposed by the Programme Officer.

 

Altogether sixteen (16) child scientists from six (6) schools [Kohima, Dimapur, Zunheboto & Peren] participated. Eight (8) child scientists were selected to represent the state at the 24th National Children’s Science Congress 2016 to be held at Baramati, Maharashtra from December 27-31, 2016.

Meanwhile, two (2) students were selected to present their projects at 104th Indian Science Congress to be held from January 3-7, 2017, at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.
